Keep an eye out for the info on acts to be announced soon!
I heard that Schoolies is for under 18’s only, can I still get in?
Schoolies is for 2010 school leavers and there will be security guards at the venue checking ID – so don’t forget your student ID or drivers licence to ensure you get the discounted price. Those aged 18-21 without School ID will have to pay the full Festival Price.
What time does Schoolies Festival ’09 open each night?
Festival venues open at 7pm and close at 2am. The Lounge Room opens at 6pm and closes at 3am. Ticket booths open at 12pm and close at 1am.
I heard Victor Harbor is a 24hr dry zone during Schoolies, can I still drink?
If you are under 18, it is illegal to drink any alcohol, dry zone or not. If you are over 18 it is only legal to drink alcohol in a licensed venue (ie pub). If you are seen drinking in the dry zone (pretty much all of Victor Harbor) police will pour your drinks out and hand you a hefty fine and you may have to go to court. To clarify, Schoolies Festival 2010 is NOT a licensed venue.
When will the line-up be announced?
Schoolies Festival 2010 line-up will continue to grow and build in the months leading up to the festival. For this reason, we cannot release the exact playing times for each act until much closer to the date.
What are Toolies?
“Toolies” are over 18’s who pretend to be Schoolies. They almost always cause the issues you hear about on the news. Schoolies Festival 2010 is for those guys and girls who finished school in 2010.
I want to go… is Schoolies really that bad?
Schoolies is a fun, safe and awesome time to hang with friends and celebrate the end of high school. There are always issues associated with any big event with large crowds however, over the past 12 years Encounter Youth has, in collaboration with the local community, created a one-of-a-kind schoolies event (Schoolies Festival). Schoolies SA continues to show that a combined community approach to a once-negative event can be managed successfully and turned into a positive one for both students and community.
